|For some organizations, a Mission Statement is something framed on a boardroom wall. For the
USGBC South Florida Chapter, our Mission Statement -- to raise awareness of the environmental, economic and health impacts of green buildings -- is a reference point against which we must constantly measure our performance.
If not for our valued Donors Circle Program Members -- businesses that have stepped up and
offered extraordinary charitable support for our nonprofit organization -- we would not be able to
make the educational strides we consistently produce in our South Florida community. To that
end, we profusely thank and honor those companies listed below.

Stiles is a full-service commercial real estate firm with a clear mission: Invest. Build. Manage. Stiles services include development, construction, tenant improvement, realty, property management, architecture, acquisitions and financing. Headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Stiles maintains regional offices in Miami, Fort Myers, Tampa and Orlando, as well as an office in Charlotte, North Carolina. Stiles is responsible for more than 40 million square feet of office, industrial, retail and multi-family projects throughout the southeastern United States.
Sustainability is one of the guiding principles of Stiles. We understand that our business directly impacts the world’s resources, and continuously strive to attain higher sustainability standards while balancing the interests of our environment, communities, stakeholders, employees and customers.
With more than 20 LEED projects and 25 LEED APs across our divisions, Stiles is committed to developing innovative ways to integrate sustainability into all of our projects. The LEED Green Building rating system provides a set of internal workplace sustainability guidelines that we utilize to ensure that we are producing healthy and productive places for our community members to live, work and enjoy.
Modeling our processes to follow LEED, we design offices, retail and industrial buildings to be as environmentally friendly as possible. Environmental protection precautions and procedures are implemented from the initial development phase of every project, and reconsidered at every phase throughout the entire scope. This process ensures that sustainability is not simply applied to our projects, but that it becomes a part of the project's core functionality, and ultimately reduces its environmental impact on the world.
Not only does Stiles build LEED facilities, we are the only firm that owns and operates LEED buildings, which enables us to recognize the nuances associated with LEED development from an owner’s perspective. Having developed the first LEED office tower in Broward County, Stiles is a recognized leader in this area with a track record of success. Stiles has been involved with more than 20 commercial and residential LEED projects ranging from New Construction and Core & Shell to Commercial Interior and Existing Building Operations Maintenance certification projects.
In addition, Stiles Property Management implements a portfolio-wide sustainability program that is second to none in the industry. By implementing all of the various sustainable components of our property management program, the owner and tenants reap several cost and health advantages, including a nearly 10% decrease in operating costs.
We are proud to continue to pioneer in this area, not only as a sustainable company, but also a sustainable builder, developer and owner. At Stiles, sustainability isn’t just what we do. It is who we are. www.stiles.com
