The South Florida Green Lodging Workshop is presented by the City of Miami Beach and sponsored in part by the South Florida Chapter of the US Green Building Council. This educational seminar will focus on how hotels can save money and increase profits by going green. Topics to be covered include energy conservation, water efficiency, solid waste reduction, indoor air quality and outreach. Guest speakers will include Cornell University’s School of Hospitality Administration Professor Emeritus David Stipanuk and Miami-Dade County Water & Sewer’s Conservation Manager Maribel Balbin. The workshop will be accompanied by a tradeshow (open from 10am. to 6pm) featuring green vendors and organizations, including the South Florida Chapter.
